Newark Liberty International Airport

Opening in 1928, Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the nation’s oldest airfield and home to the nation’s first commercial airline terminal. EWR is located only 14 miles from Manhattan, serving a critical role for the New York/Newark metropolitan area. The airport has been a leader in the areas of congestion mitigation innovation and the campaign for NextGen technology. United, which for more than two decades has offered the New York/Newark region the most flights to the most destinations around the world as a global gateway. The airline is also upgrading the customer experience at EWR at every point of the customer's journey with, world-class retail shops and leading-edge technology. We are upgrading check-in facilities and baggage screening systems and will unveil a United Polaris lounge for international business class customers in summer 2018
