United Flight Attendants in Vintage Uniforms Commemorate the Profession's 80th Anniversary

United Airlines joined with current and retired flight attendants and customers in commemorating the 80th anniversary of United's introduction of the flight attendant to the U.S. airline industry. On May 15, 1930, flight attendant Ellen Church accompanied 14 customers on a 20-hour journey between the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago, including 13 stops.
