CHICAGO, August 9, 2017 - United Airlines (UAL) today announced it will start new nonstop seasonal service to Mazatlán, Mexico from its hometown hub at Chicago O’Hare and its Latin America gateway at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Subject to government approval.
“We are pleased to offer the only nonstop service between Mazatlán and Chicago O’Hare and Houston Bush Intercontinental,” said Jake Cefolia, United’s vice president of Sales. “United has provided nonstop service from the U.S. to Mexico for the last 50 years and we look forward to serving Mazatlán, United’s 24th destination in Mexico.”
United will offer seasonal, Saturday-only service between Chicago and Mazatlán beginning Dec. 23, 2017 to April 7, 2018. Departing Chicago at 8:56 a.m. the flight will arrive in Mazatlán at 12:20 p.m. The return flight will depart Mazatlán at 1:20 p.m. and will arrive in Chicago at 6:13 p.m. United will operate service with Airbus A319 aircraft featuring eight seats in United First, 42 Economy Plus, and 78 Economy seats.
From Houston, United will offer winter and summer seasonal service to Mazatlán beginning Dec. 21, 2017 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through April 8, 2018. Beginning April 9 through August 13, United will operate Saturday-only service departing Houston at 11:58 a.m. and arriving in Mazatlán at 1:30 p.m. The return will depart Mazatlán at 2:10 p.m. and arrive in Houston at 5:29 p.m. Both flights will be operated with Embraer E175 regional aircraft with 12 seats in first class, 16 in Economy Plus, and 48 in Economy.
